Josh's MA Graduation
Today was Josh's graduation from Marshall with his Master's Degree. At first he didn't want to go, but after some convincing he decided to walk it. It was a great day, Dylan did really well and we had a good time. Some of our family and friends showed up to support him, which is always nice. Now we are getting ready for his Graduation dinner in a few hours, which is the best part! (we are starving!)
*also Dylan has learned to say "lations daddy" since everyone kept telling Josh Congratulations.Posted by Sarah Iddings at 3:23 PM 1 comments

Captain Feathersword
Tonight while Josh & I were making pizza Dylan was laying on the couch watching the Wiggles. For those of you who are fortunate enough to not know about the Wiggles or Captain Feathersword here ya go. http://www.thewiggles.com.au/us/home/
Anyhow, Dylan was laying on the couch and Josh noticed he was sticking his play knife from his kitchen set down inside his diaper. Our first thought was maybe there was a problem down there. So Josh asked him if everything was ok and he seemed fine.
Then it hit me! I said, "Dylan are you being Captain Feathersword?"
He looked really happy and said "yes!"
So luckily there was no problems. He was just holstering his "sword" in his diaper!

Saturday fun, but no dad
It is quite apparent that Dylan will be 2 in 10 days the terribleness has begun. His new favorite thing to do is to answer every question with "no" or "nope" even if its something he wants to do. It does not matter the activity the first answer is always no. I guess the true parenting has began. Lucky for him he's so darn cute.
also................Today me and Dylan went to Lowe's to take part in a building activity they hold for kids there. Dylan had a good time while we built a "land sail"...but all he cared is that he got to hammer. With Josh being out of town at a conference it made today interesting, not to mention I thought the project was kind of hard, but then again I'm not to handy. So trying to read the directions and keep Dylan from hammering everything in site became a challenge without Josh's help, but it all ended well and he had a great time & he earned his first patch for his work vest.
