Merry Christmas!

Best of Friends

Lately Snoopy has become Dylan's favorite playmate (whether she likes it or not!).
He has learned how to put her in and take her out of her kennel.
He feeds and waters her (I wish he could walk her...lol) but he tries.
Sometimes I get so frustrated with having a dog in such a small space
and having to walk her when it feels like -2 outside,
but then I realize how much
Dylan loves her
and how much fun they have and remember
that it is a great thing for him and for her, and
she is a great dog as far as dogs go.
Dylan and Snoopy on the Pirate Ship! Dylan worked very hard for a long time to make his sail
(my broom) stand straight up, and there's a pirate hat ontop!
Making Snoopy Lunch :-/ (he was proud of it)
Teasing Snoopy with his candy cane, she is very tolerant!

Today Dylan's school took a field trip to the union to see the 25ft Christmas Tree and the child size gingerbread house, as well as stop for some pizza.

Dylan had a great time! And Josh and I tagged along as volunteers so we could make sure we didn't miss anything! Plus I get nervous with that many kids being in public and on the bus. I like to have my eye on him.

They also sang some Christmas Songs!

Family Day

Today was the first weekend Josh has had off in FOREVER...and even though I am sure there is something he probably should have been working on,we took the day just to hang out. We started with sleeping in, then Applebee's for lunch, followed by going to the movies to see the "Princess and the Frog" which was really cute, then we went to the mall to shop and play, then dinner at the dining hall, and ended the night with the Christmas Music Show on campus....It was a great day and Dylan had alot of fun. It makes me excited for when Josh finishes school! I love spending the day with my boys!

I was cleaning off our computer desk and realized that I had this portrait still just sitting around from when we went to Kings Island.....I couldn't not post this picture!

So Honest

This morning we were just laying around the bedroom and I had finally decided to drag myself out of bed and into the shower. Dylan went into the hallway (right infront of our door) to play. While I was getting ready to get in someone knocked on the door. I whispered to Dylan from the bathroom "just be quiet cause mommy is going to get into the shower". (Since I had no clothes on and really didn't want to answer the door). Instead Dylan yells...."HOLD ON!!!"

Then there was another knock and the lady identified herself as Maintenance for our building. So Dylan yells back "HOLD ON A SECOND, MOMMY HAS TO PUT CLOTHES ON, YOU DON'T WANT TO SEE HER NAKED!" and you could hear the chuckle of the lady on the other side.

So I soon answered the door...very embarrassed, but at least I started my morning laughing.

In my spare time...

Lately I have been back into designing photo cards which I love to do, and the holidays always give me a good reason to get back into it. Eventually it would be nice to make money doing something I love so much, but for now I just need more practice, so if anyone would like a card designed...Let me know!

Here is one I did as a Holiday Card example today...

and there is more on my other blog if you check out the link below.

Great Lakes Diaper Company

I am thinking of using cloth diapers for my new little guy. To help me save some money and save the enviroment in the process. The Great Lakes Diaper Company has so many cute designs and different options to suit all the needs. I love the diaper pails and I am thinking that the Gro Baby Bio Soaker Intro package may be the initial way to go. They also mention on their facebook page that they are coming out with a sampler package!!

Today we went to the pumpkin patch and had so much fun.
It started out a little cold but by about 3:30 it was sunny and nice!

It started out with a campfire. We had hotdogs and smores!

Incase you havn't heard......

It's a Boy!
and here he is....

The picture above is the proof that it is a boy, the little arrow directs you to the boy parts, but the ultrasound technician said she could tell mostly because he also had his hand down there (just like a man)....lol...aren't his little knuckles cute though!

Call us crazy, but Josh and I swear we can already tell he looks like Dylan (it's the nose) ... :-)

Buddies

Dylan loved having Amy and Addy over! I had to snap some pictures!

Amy loved Josh's chair. And Dylan loved Amy.

Dylan and Addy laying on his bed playing. They played there forever!

And toward the end of the evening, I popped in a sing-a-long and folded out the sofa.

Dylan has been battling a fever the last couple of nights and today it moved into a bit of a stomach bug....poor guy....

He couldn't even make it through the day without a nap and with his puke bucket by his side.

Sorry we couldn't be there, we hope you liked all your gifts and enjoyed the card from Dylan. He misses you and can't wait to play next time we are in!! Thank you for always being such a good playmate to him. It's hard to believe how big you have gotten.....Just think by your next birthday you will have another little baby to be playing with (and I will need all the help I can get!!) We love you!!

Amtrak

We took the Amtrak home this time. What a great way to travel! We both slept just about the entire time. I woke Dylan up about 30 min before our stop in Huntington so he could actually take in being on the train. He thought it was amazing and kept look for Percy and Thomas. When the train arrived I man dressed all in the train man gear hopped out at the station screaming "ALL ABOARD" and Dylan face lit up!! It was great, we will be traveling this way again!

Here we come!

After spotting Mom & Dad waiting at the station dylan took off running for them (he caught dad)

Happy 50th Anniversary!!

My grandparents recently celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary!! We threw them a huge party and attended a mass in their honor while they renewed their vows. It was so much fun to see family we hadn't seen in a long time, and of coarse we always love an excuse for a good party!
Congratulations Papaw & Meemaw!
Balloon Duty w/ Jules & Jenn

All the grandkids!

The happy couple! (papaw giving her an anniversary ring)
The whole family!

Rain Rain Go Away....

This afternoon we got a huge burst of hard rain which led to the flooding of my parents road. Dylan was terrified as I ran to grab trash cans, plants and toys while my dad and brother were trying to clear the road and creek of logs and branch's and other debris. It was crazy...I hadn't seen it this bad in a while!

Our Bunnies!

We found these 5 little bunnies out in our yard. Their nest was uncovered so they were exposed and in danger, so we brought them in and adopted them. We bottle fed them last night, but this morning they weren't interested and they were so little so we got ahold of a wilderness animal rescue group and they are going to take care of them....

Here are our babies (John, Paul, Ringo, George, & Olivia)....so so so cute..they have no hair and their eyes are still closed...so tiny! (Dylan was in love!)
