Hospital

Last night we had to make an unfortunate trip to the hospital. Ironically enough Dylan thought he needed a band-aid for a very minor boo-boo and so I went to get him one and he came running after me, he slipped and went headfirst into the corner of our wall (which must be concrete) anyone who lives in the apartments knows how unforgiving the walls are. Especially when running full force, which is the only way Dylan knows how. Anyhow, he immediately hit the ground and all we saw was blood, so we grabbed a towel kept pressure on his head and rushed to the hospital. Thank goodness it wasn't deep enough for stitches so they glued the wound together. He's a small mark to show for it and the swelling is going down. Occasionally he will say "Dyl's head hurts" but he is on some Tylenol, TLC, and a strict no running in the house rule! Other than that he seems to be fine.

(excuse the goofy look and blue mouth, it was about 3 hrs. past bedtime and we went for ice cream after the hospital, to lift his spirits a bit)

Indianapolis Zoo

Friday morning we took Jonathan to the airport and decided that since we were in Indianapolis we would make a day of it and go to the Indy Zoo.
It was a blast! Dylan's favorite exhibits were the aquatic exibits and the snakes. I think because he could get so close to them. He also loved the train ride around the zoo.

Were not sure what he was doing. But I am sure the snake deserved it.

Trip to Cincy for Julie's Birthday

Thursday we left for Cincinnati to spend the weekend with my family. We had a great time as you can see from the pictures. We went out to celebrate my sisters 24th birthday, and then we went to the Reds game Sat. vs. the Red Sox's. The scary masks you see are the masks that my dad made for Dylan. They are from one of his favorite shows "Noddy". He loved them even though to me that look like something out of a horror movie, he has been playing with them since we got home.

Papaw with "Big Ears" mask on

Trying to steal one of the bagels that Jason got us from Panera for breakfast.

Watching Noddy with Papaw
Dylan loooooves Julie and Jason dog Cello. I would say he needs one, but I'm not quite ready for that yet!

One of the many cheesy faces Dylan made posing for Dad at The Cheescake Factory.

This is one of my fav. pictures...Dylan is stretching with the big boys before their tennis match!

At the Waterpark

We went to the waterpark, and Dylan had a blast!
Josh and I however are still recovering from a sunburn, but it was worth it!

There was lots of jumping in! He's pretty much fearless.

Daddy teaching him how to float

We look forward to many more hot Indiana days spent at the waterpark.

Also....if you find yourself with a bad sunburn we have found that Hawaiian Tropic 'Cool Aloe' with Lidocaine* Extra Strength works the best.

Birthday! Birthday!

First things first!

HAPPY 24TH Birthday Julie!

We love you and can't wait to see you next weekend!

p.s. don't kill me for putting this picture up, you look adorable and it just shows your love for Dylan (you will do anything for him, its really very sweet)

OK, now more about Birthdays!

Our friends Jonathon and Christina threw Dylan a suprise birthday party, so he could have a party here! And they outdid themselves. It started with icecream that was topped with "dirt" and with worms hidden inside and ended with 2 little boys in diapers playing golf! I don't think it gets better than that...

the yummy treats Christina made.

Muddy Day!

It rained most of yesterday and was just nasty out, but once that cleared we were left with some wonderful mud puddles in the "dirt pile" as Dylan and his friend Ezra call it. So needless to say, we let them enjoy the puddles.
