My happy babies

I think Josh picked a great dog, we couldn't love her more and she couldn't love him more. This was the first night I had decided to be strict with Dylan and get him back on a good bedtime routine. I had him settled, finally (the 1st night is always the hardest) when I heard Snoopy jingling down the hallway because she had heard some noise from upstairs and wanted to check it out. I was not happy thinking he was almost asleep and she would get him all excited and make it harder, but she hopped up in bed and Dylan sat up hugged her told her he loved her and then the both laid and down and slept that way till I went to bed and moved her to her bed. It sounds crazy and it was but also amazing, we couldn't have found a better dog.

Meet Snoopy!

Today we would like to announce a new member to the Iddings Family. Her name is Snoopy, (chosen by Dylan, who is a big Charlie Brown fan.) She is a rescued Pointer Dog from our local shelter, Josh found her and we just couldn't resist. Dylan is enamored with her. He has played with her nonstop and picked out some great toys for her, as well as pretended to be a dog since we brought her home, but so far so good....I am sure there will be more to post later! But for now PICTURES!

P.S - She is only 5 months old, so any training tips or tricks we would love them!

Our New Car

As many of you know on the way home to Ohio a few weeks ago we wrecked and totaled our car on 65. So we had to start looking for something, which was so frustrating and time consuming, but we FINALLY found a car that we both love & that was in our price range, which proved to be difficult. And luckily we have wonderful friends (thank you Jonathan and Christina) that helped us watch Dylan several times while we went looking. I am so glad we found something we all love, I was having a hard time not having the Focus (I cried a little) I loved that car, but now we love this one. And to celebrate the event we went to the car wash that Dylan loves! and then we had to replace his car seat, so we picked one out as well. So that was our small new car celebration..

Here are some pictures, there not the best but its was about 40 degrees with the wind chill making it feel below zero, so we snapped the pictures VERY quickly.



This is Dylan at the car wash, he looks a little scared and he was, he actually cried a little, but he loves it and ask to keep going back....

Obama! Obama! Obama!

Barack Obama is now the President Elect!!!!!

Obviously we are very happy here in the Iddings home, we stayed up and watch the coverage all evening to see how it would go, but once he took PA, we both had the feeling it was going to happen, but we kept watching! We stayed up until his Victory Speech! Even Dylan woke up for that...lol....(might have been coincidence), but regardless if felt great to watch this historic event as a family! We had an Obama Election '08 party that consisted of Josh, Dylan and myself, here are the cupcakes Dylan and I made.

We are excited for change and to see what happens in the days ahead!

Our internet has been acting up lately, so we havn't been able to post quite as often.

Dylan loves to cook and its a good activity that also makes our meals, so he's doing my job with me, which makes it easier on both of us.

Friday Nights

Last weekend Josh and Dylan went to the football game on Friday night. They both had such a good time, and it was nice to have some time to myself. Well this past Friday night I was invited to go to the football so I went to take some pictures and watch them enjoy themselves. Josh loves to watch the game of coarse, and Dylan likes to yell like the people in the stands (which can be good and bad), but his favorite thing of all is the band, so Josh strategically sits right next to the band, so they both have a great time. I personally thought it was a little cold, and was bored, so we left after the half-time show that Dylan had to stay for, and needless to say I am no longer invited, it is now officially "Boys Night Out".
